We’re Heading to Jerusalem — and You’re Coming With Us

Dear friends,

This is it — the moment we’ve been building toward together.

Next week, we are traveling to Jerusalem with 66 Reform Jews, which includes elected delegates, alternates, and observers. Our delegation is made up of incredible Reform clergy and lay leaders, including 11 participants under 35 years-old, from across the United States. As members of Arzenu, the political voice of Reform, Progressive and Liberal Religious Zionists around the world, we are part of the largest delegation at the World Zionist Congress from October 28-30. That’s because of you. Because you organized, voted, inspired, and believed that Reform Jews belong at the table where Israel’s future is written.

At the Congress, we’ll be fighting for budgets, leadership roles, and resolutions that reflect our values and your voice: religious pluralism, equality for the Reform Movement, LGBTQ+ rights, peace, and democracy. We’re showing up to ensure that our Judaism — open, compassionate, justice-driven — is represented in Israel’s institutions and its story.

This gathering comes at a moment unlike any other in Jewish history: The war has ended. The living hostages are home. And we await the return of those who will soon be laid to rest in their homeland. Our hearts hold both relief and grief, fear and fierce hope.

From the start, we’ve said: The next chapter of Israel’s history is about to be written. You can either be at the table writing it — or you, your children, and your values can be written out of it. That truth has never been more real. We are standing on the precipice of hope and responsibility, determined to help shape an Israel we can all be proud to call home.

Follow our journey at vote4reform.org and on ARZA’s social media and ARZENU’s channels for updates, reflections, and behind-the-scenes moments from the Congress.

You are with us every step of the way — in our hearts, in our prayers, and in our work. After the Congress, we’ll be reaching back out with ways to continue this movement — to keep organizing, leading, and building a Reform Zionism that transforms both Israel and the Jewish people.

With deep pride and gratitude,
